3 fitness philosophies our fitness expert Andrea uses to stay in shape
Take control of WHEN you eat
Don’t eat for 3 hours after you wake up, and don’t eat 3 hours before you go to bed (if you are diabetic, consult with your doctor), is a great tip, which requires no change to what you’re actually eating. Another tip is to eat as many raw fruits and vegetables as you can throughout the day. And the last, most basic tip: don’t use table salt. Opt for Himalayan Sea Salt!
Keep your focus, no matter the season
I make it a point to not negotiate my lifestyle during the holidays. Since my ultimate goal is wellness and longevity, why would I decide it’s okay to eat tons of processed sugar (for example), just because there are cakes and pies through the hallways at work? We are either feeding disease or fighting it, and a holiday is no reason to disregard my intentions for health. A great, and simple, trick: Don’t take the first bite. Yep, you heard me, just don’t pick up the cupcake!
The most common mistakes people make when trying to achieve a fitness goal...
Exercise with no dietary changes and bad form! Eek! There’s a science to achieving your fitness goals, and don’t worry, it’s not plain chicken breast and broccoli! We’ll make small tweaks until we get you at your goal! And improper form runs rampant, because most people have not had a critical (but loving!) eye on their form while working out. I’m the form-master, so I’ve got you!
